Situational awareness
Since most emergencies occur at the local level, Regional Offices are the Department's representatives on the ground that provide situational awareness and operational support to the Government Operations Centre during any emergency or event of national interest.
Cyber security publications
The Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre (CCIRC) is responsible for monitoring threats and coordinating the national response to any cyber security incident. CCIRC produces cyber security publications.
Analytical publications
The Situational Awareness and Risk Assessment Division produces analytical products regarding emergency management information related to Canada's critical infrastructure.
