"Through the Action Plan we will seek to strengthen our collective understanding of post-traumatic stress injuries through research, including applied research and treatment trials; supporting mental health resilience through evidence based research to inform public awareness, training and other initiatives that emphasize prevention, early intervention and stigma reduction; and identifying ways in which public safety organizations can better monitor and manage the mental health of public safety personnel through support for care and treatment." -- Introduction, p. 1-2.
