Under the Future of Policing Project (FPP), the Ministry has been working with the Future of Policing Advisory Committee (FPAC), other ministries and affected stakeholders to plan for effective, efficient and sustainable delivery of policing services to enhance community safety in Ontario. |

FPAC has identified several key themes to address current challenges to policing service delivery in Ontario.
Under the FPP, the Ministry is working with its inter-ministerial, policing and community partners to develop a provincial framework for preventing crime and strengthening community safety and well-being on a sustainable basis.
The community safety and well-being framework is intended to foster community-based approaches and partnerships to respond to complex social issues. |

Proposals for legislative, regulatory and policy amendments are anticipated in spring 2015. |
